AAPV successfully concluded a three-day Capacity Building and Technical Assistance Workshop in Meme Division, bringing together leaders from 10 women-led organizations to strengthen their skills in advocacy, analysis and constructive engagement in peace processes.

The workshop focused on strengthening participants’ ability to monitor peace agreements and national peace initiatives, while also addressing approaches to preventing the radicalization of women and young people.

AAPV was honoured to welcome Mr. Richard Le Bars, Political Advisor at the High Commission of Canada in Cameroon, whose participation highlighted the collaboration between AAPV and the Government of Canada in supporting peacebuilding and regional stability.

A major outcome of the workshop was the establishment of a Pool of Women Peace Builders, bringing together women leaders equipped with improved tools, knowledge and best practices to contribute more effectively to peace initiatives and national planning processes.

Through initiatives like this, AAPV continues to strengthen women’s participation in peace and security and promote more inclusive, resilient and peaceful communities.
