Health Support
Working with youth, women and communities to prevent violence and rebuild trust in conflict-affected areas.
Restoring Access to Quality Health Care
Understanding why care remains out of reach for so many, and how AAPV strengthens the facilities and services communities depend on.
When Care Exists but Remains Out of Reach
Health facilities serving vulnerable communities often operate without the staff, equipment or supplies their patients need. Complex cases go unreferred, maternity and neonatal services run beyond capacity, and the cost of care alone keeps many households from seeking it. For children and adolescents living with HIV, cancer or other chronic conditions, the gap is wider still: treatment may exist, but the support that makes it bearable rarely follows.
