Where Conflict Leaves Communities Divided

Prolonged crisis does more than displace people — it erodes the trust that holds communities together. In conflict-affected areas, young people face limited prospects and growing exposure to armed recruitment, while women remain largely absent from the spaces where peace and security decisions are made. Without local actors able to mediate and rebuild, division hardens into lasting fracture.
