Standing With Those the
World Overlooks
Since 2023, we have worked where crisis and vulnerability meet — delivering health care, safe water, protection and livelihoods across Cameroon and beyond.
Our Story
United in Upholding the Principle of Inclusion
Association for Aid to Vulnerable People (AAPV) was established in September 2023 around a single conviction, and it remains our founding phrase: "Let's unite in upholding the principle of inclusion."
That conviction points to a clear ambition — a world where all people, regardless of their gender, age, social class, ethnicity or health status, live a dignified life free from discrimination. It is what led us to build an organisation able to act on both fronts at once: responding rapidly when crisis strikes, and staying long after the emergency has passed.
Since our first interventions, that commitment has taken shape across health, protection, climate action, peace and livelihoods. We manage common diseases and deliver palliative care, respond to gender-based violence, provide psychosocial support, protect biodiversity, run vocational training and support agriculture — with free health services for the communities who need them most, including children under five, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

What Drives Us, and What It Has Made Possible
Responsiveness and Resilience
We provide prompt and resilient assistance to communities facing natural disasters, conflict and the crises that follow them.
Empowerment Through Knowledge
We inform, sensitise and educate, so that communities hold the knowledge to improve their own daily lives.
Sustainable Community Engagement
We build long-term community participation rather than delivering punctual support that ends when a project closes.
Humanitarianism
We act on humanitarian need alone, wherever it is found and whoever it concerns.
Civic Responsibility
We operate within the legal framework governing liberty of association in Cameroon, accountable to the authorities and the public.
Social Equity
We prioritise the needs of vulnerable persons, so that those most easily overlooked are not left behind.
How We Work, and Why It Holds
Understanding why assumptions fail affected communities, and how AAPV builds every intervention on what the field actually shows.
Needs Never Come One at a Time
We combine humanitarian and development interventions across health, livelihoods, WASH, research, peace and the environment, addressing needs that never come one at a time.
Where We Work
At AAPV, we believe no organisation builds a better world alone. We have built a network of partner organisations across Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad, the Central African Republic, Europe and the United States — sharing good practice, designing projects together and pooling resources for stronger impact.
